Candle Care & Disclaimer

Candle Care Instructions

To ensure a safe, long-lasting, and enjoyable candle experience, please follow these simple care tips:

1. **Trim the Wick**
Before each use, trim the wick to ¼ inch to prevent excessive smoking and ensure a clean, even burn. Use a wick trimmer or scissors.

2. **Allow a Full Melt Pool**
On the first burn, let the candle burn until the wax melts evenly across the entire surface. This prevents tunneling and maximizes the candle’s lifespan.

3. **Burn Time**
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish the flame, let the wax cool, and trim the wick before relighting.

4. **Keep It Clean**
Remove any debris, such as wick trimmings or matches, from the wax pool to maintain a clean burn.

5. **Avoid Drafts**
Place your candle in a draft-free area to prevent uneven burning and excessive flickering.

6. **Safety First**
   - Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface.
   - Keep it away from flammable objects, children, and pets.
   - Never leave a burning candle unattended.

7. **Extinguish Properly**
Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid blowing too hard, as this can cause wax to splatter.

8. **Store with Care**
Keep your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their scent and color.

By following these guidelines, you’ll enjoy a safer, cleaner, and more fragrant candle experience. Thank you for choosing Sage & Creek!

Handmade with Love

Every candle and product is lovingly handcrafted and hand-poured by me, my husband, and our sons in our Los Angeles, California home. Because each item is made by hand, slight imperfections may occur, such as:
- Minor variations in wax color.
- Labels that may be slightly off-center.
- Tiny markings on jars or tins.

These unique characteristics do not affect the quality or performance of our products and are a testament to their handmade nature.

**Please Note**: Some fragrances may cause natural rusting on the inside of candle tins over time. This is a normal process and does not impact the candle’s quality or safety.
